The Live Free Adolescent Recovery School Based Peer Recovery Model™ was developed to address the gap between traditional treatment settings and how it applies in real world situations by harnessing the positive power of peer influence within a structured, supervised, and evidence-informed framework. This model is grounded in decades of research on adolescent development, prevention science, and recovery-oriented systems of care. It integrates best practices from public health prevention models, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and peer support research, while maintaining strict safety, supervision, and escalation protocols to protect students and ensure appropriate adult involvement when needed.
